 KP Sgarro (they/them) is a trans nonbinary actor, musician, and emcee, and has worked in styles ranging from classical to contemporary and devised theater for over a decade. Select NY acting credits include Berowne in Love’s Labor’s Lost (Smith Street); Cominius in Coriolanus (Nocturne); Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Feste in Twelfth Night, Othello, As You Like It, Macbeth (Match: Lit); Cod in Slaughter City (Small Boat, NYC Premiere Cast); Future Egg, et al in Little Egg, Big World, as well as The Catamite (BBTF); haircut play :€, Circus Trick (Exponential Festival); Storm Still, Romeo & Juliet (No Exit); Holy Ghost People, Dangerous Games (The Brick); Skeeter in Under Woodside (Original Cast); Maryn in Mirrors (NYC Premiere Cast). KP is also a recurring performer in SERIALS at The Tank and Barefoot Shakespeare’s UNREHEARSED.

As a musician, KP has worked in venues all over the city, having composed and arranged music for NYC theater companies including Smith Street (Richard II), Match: Lit (Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Othello), AMiOS’ SHOTZ! series (“Shared Communal Space”, And SHOTZ! For Something Virtually Different), and Everyday Inferno (Iphigenia Among the Taurians). Independent and university projects include Luis Roberto Herrera’s Blood on These Hands, Victoria Fragnito’s Scar Tissue, and Queens College’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Kupferberg Center for the Arts. As an emcee, credits range from hosting trivia to cabarets and fundraisers at venues like QED Astoria, Jake’s Dilemma, and The Green Room 42, including Cabaret on the Couch’s Home For the Holidays! Cabaret, which garnered them a Broadway World Cabaret Awards nomination for Best Emcee in 2022.
